Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Keypilot Voice desktop application, this website, and the hosted speech service (together, the “service”). By installing or using the service you agree to them.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the application on devices you control. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the application or its hosted service, or attempt to circumvent its metering.

Accounts

Accounts are identified by email address and signed in with one-time codes. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. One person, one account.

Credits and payment

• New accounts receive 5,000 free credits, refreshed monthly and not convertible to cash.
• Speech recognition consumes 1 credit per second of audio; AI rewriting consumes 2 credits per 1,000 tokens. Current rates are shown in the app and on the pricing page.
• Purchased credits do not expire and remain attached to your account.
• Unused credit packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Write to support@usekeypilot.com.
• Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Record people without the consent required by law where you are.
• Process content that infringes rights, or that is unlawful, threatening or abusive.
• Probe, overload or reverse-engineer the hosted service, or resell access to it.

We may suspend an account that puts the service or other users at risk, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Availability and changes

The service is in early access. Features may change, and the hosted speech providers may be substituted for equivalent ones. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; planned maintenance is announced in the app or by email.

Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is”. Transcription is probabilistic and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing text before relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate an account for material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Unused purchased credits are refunded pro rata if we terminate without cause.
