Two minutes from download to first sentence
The app asks for exactly two permissions: the microphone, and permission to type for you. Nothing else.
macOS
- 01Open the .dmg and drag Keypilot Voice into Applications.
- 02Launch it once from Applications, then allow microphone access.
- 03Enable Accessibility in System Settings so text can be inserted into other apps.
- 04Hold ⌘ Right, speak, release. The first dictation is free.
Linux
- 01Make the AppImage executable: chmod +x Keypilot-Voice-*.AppImage
- 02Run it, or install the .deb with sudo apt install ./Keypilot-Voice-*.deb
- 03Grant microphone access, and install xdotool if your desktop blocks text injection.
- 04Hold Ctrl Right to dictate (⌥ Right on macOS is Ctrl Right on Linux).
